Summer Treat...Orange, Banana, Strawberry Smoothie

You will need:

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup strawberry yogurt
  • 1/2 banana
  • 5 ice cubes

Mix this all together in a blender
This makes 2 delicious summer treats. You can change it around to suite your own taste and add fresh fruit to the mix, if you'd like to. (I just used what I happened to have on hand in the fridge).
Now enjoy!

About This Site

Welcome, in 2008 I created this site so I could have a place online to catalog the recipes that I use. The recipes here are things that my family and I eat and enjoy. These are not fat free, but they taste good and most every recipe is easy to make and made with basic simple ingredients. Being from the South, I love some good old-fashioned southern home cooked food, but we do have to eat our country food in moderation around here! I hope you enjoy your visit here and that you find something you'd like to make.

A special thank you to all of the women in my life that have contributed to my learning how to cook ...for teaching me the things that they had learned about cooking that were passed down to them through the generations....thank you for sharing your talents, cooking wisdom, and recipes with me.

A Special Message To My Sons

Dear Sons,
The creation of this website, was very much with you guys in mind. I wanted a place online for you to be able to find some of mama's recipes. I think they will come in handy for you one day, especially when you venture out there on your own.
This is my gift to you both....My love to you Always~
(Written 2008)

This blog is dedicated to my husband Robert, and our sons Austin and Ryan. Thank you for your unconditional love.
